When i try and log in, the screen just stays black...

When i click connect, the screen shrinks to about 1/3 of its size, and just sits there. i have everquest trilogy nstalled and fully patched, and i followed the tut word for word.. What should i be doing??

You didnt follow the tutorial at all


Titanium is needed not Trilogy.

So go read the wiki again.

How can telling people to read the wiki not be helping? How can posting everywhere that Titanium is needed not helping. What doesn't help is creating another account to complain...

That is where the attitude is coming from, stop being lazy and read. We get people who ask he same question as the one right below them, they didnt even bother to look at the forums at all.

I'm asking you this because i want to help you.
By quoting this guy from this thread, you really showed me how you miss things, as Everquest Triology patched is really out of place, and posted as unusable many times .

So I thought you may have missed this detail;
There's a difference between "everquest.exe" and "eqgame.exe" - eqgame.exe is what you have to use and you have to find in your eq client directory.
If you're having a common problem like this, then I have to first make sure you tried all the obvious things.

ok i just deleeted all eq fiels and am now installing titanium again

Do you have an active firewall? if so, did you clear needed ports?

when you uninstalled EQ did you manualy go in and delete what was left behind?

Believe it or not if you didnt this it will stop you from playing.

well this is why people get pissed, you claim to have been researching for 9 hours and you havent bothered to read even the notice at the top of every forum page that says

Titanium Now Supported - Do not patch to live; obtain Titanium if you need the client.

Or any of the guides that are all over.

Now, just follow that guide step by step.
