Over at PEQ, someone is having fun making accounts and posting porn links. Looks like they had to move over here since we turned off new accounts..=( have fun with the ban stick, bunch of immature stupid azz's.

It's not just here, in the past month I have deleted about 25 accounts for the same thing on my Vbulletin forum. I ended up having to block all .ru email addresses from being used at registration. As dumb as that sounds it has actually worked so far. Since blocking .ru I have not had one sign up. You would think they would be smart enough to use hotmail or something that would be harder for me to block without screwing my members.

What mystifies me about these jerkwads... 1) do they really think because they post a link, someone's going to follow it and buy something? and 2) the links don't work... because I felt I needed more porn in my life and followed one once. 404's.

i have over 100 ip's banned due to them being spamm bots.

We get hit with them daily, were just on top of deleting / banning them.

(And i do mean daily, like 5-6 a day most days)

It's the same with my email server - nothing really works, I have spamassassin and the spammers pass that through their behinds. Basically what Ihave is, everyone's blocked, then I clear emails to who ever I meet/know.
Here's one way to do it; all new users, can not post - they have to leave a legit email address when they sign up, so a mod can contact them and make sure who they are. This would eliminate the spam.
