Greetings everyone, let me begin by stating, I've installed cavedude's serverpack 3.6 (with both databases), mysql 4.0 active perl, using windows xp, using public login not mini, blah blah blah yada yada...
Problem 1: I realized after I installed the emulator that I forgot to set the factions option during set-up. The mobs seem to ignore me totally until i interact with them in some way. No aggro. Is there a mysql command line i can put in to change this, because I don't know how to import and export the characters i've made and don't want to have to redo them?
Problem 2: Only a small number of npc's that i've come across will actually talk to me when i hail them, and, if they do have any [quest options] nothing happens when I type in the words. My guildmaster won't take the note that i give him (tried this with ranger, necromancer, and warrior class) and transporters dont take me to where they say they will.
I do have all the map files in the right folder and they work. I know because the ship shows up in Qeynos docks. Is this an error on my part somehow or is Eqemu just that incomplete? And finally, I made a forum post on the site that I got the serverpack from 3 days ago. It's gotten 6 views and no replies, that's why im asking here now.
Thank you all in advance for the help and insight.

Not to be a jerk, but nearly everything you just asked about is already posted here on these forums somewhere. I know it's not always easy to search (the 3-letter limits and our obsession with acronyms)... but yes, Factions are moot in many cases. Some quest NPCs do not talk to you unless you are sharing the same coordinates (it seems), and hand-ins are lacking. The plugin check_handins.pl needs to be in /eqemu/plugins, not eqemu/quests/plugins (someone has already complained that the installer doesn't place this correctly).

So you see, the info is there. Seek, grasshoppah, and ye shall be enlightened.
