Anyway to play both EQ and EQemu?

Anyone know if its possible to have the files set up in a way so that you can play both eqlive and eqemu on your computer? or is it always one or the other?

have 2 installs one for eq one for eqemu.

So you would just install Titanium twice and when installing the second time, rename the folder if it says Everquest already exists?

There is an easier way..

Delete your EQ folder BY HAND, select the sony folder and delete it.


Install EQ from the Titanium Discs..... Right click the sony folder... Hit copy.... go to your desktop and right click then hit paste..


BAM 2 installs.

On live it is common for folks to have one install for live, a second for the test server.

Right now I am still at the top of a new hard drive - lots of space.

I have 4 eqemu titanium directories for multiboxing, 3 shards of dalaya variants for my 3 accounts there, an eqlive, and an eqemu 6.0 compatible install. About 50 gig of Everquest.

If I were testing quests I would add a minilogin directory as well.

Then I have a folder with shortcuts to all the different eqgame.exe files. The shortcuts are labeled by the character I normally play from that directory. That way it is easy to log the right character at the right time.

I don't see why you need to have multiple directories for the same installation. I 2-3-4 box on EQLive with only one directory.. I do development on EQEmu sometimes boxing with only one directory.. I just run multiple sessions from it.

I started with the multiple directory thing when 2-boxing Dalaya on a machine with 512 K of ram. It spent a lot of time swapping to hard disk, and going to the second directory cut down on my crashes and timeouts.

Since I have the disk space, I kept the pattern when I installed Titanium on my new computer.
