I did everything the wiki told me to do and the Everquest patcher is trying to download stuff still. I installed Kunark, Velious, and Luclin. Is it the fact that I'm not using Titanium. I used to play EQEmu without Titanium and had up to Planes installed and it worked fine.

What Wiki told you you didn't need Titanium and you needed to use the patcher?
There's another executable in your client directory called "eqgame.exe" and that's what we all use: "eqgame.exe patchme".
But if you don't have a store bought Titanium, that won't work either.
I see you're a member from 2003. maybe you're thinking about an older client? If you do have an old client backed up somewhere, that might work.

To my knowledge, any older patched client will not work either because the titanium client was never used in LIVE, or so people have said, so it would be impossible to have a old patched compatible copy.

As far as EQ still patching, that is beuase your shortcuts excutable is still set to Everquest.exe with the patchme option. Everquest.exe is the patcher itself, and the actually game is eqgame.exe Hence why you have to point at the eqgame.exe file. Then adding patch me tells the client that it does not need to restart the patcher Everquest.exe, or to my assumption, from personal expierences,

Either way, your still SOL if you dont have a titanium copy. Its not avilable at brick and mortar retailers anymore, but some online vedors and auction sites still have many copys.

There are other ways, but we cant mention them here for fear of rule enforcing gnomes that cast Quad Harmtouch on your ass...... :)
