View Full Version : Class Skill level reqs - hard coded into client?

I have tried to give warrior double attack at level 7.
I went to peq and changed lev of skill 22 to 7
then i went to caps table and created tables for DW caps from 7 to 12.
went into game- my warrior trainer windows still says requres lev 13.
gave myself in game 35 points in DW skill
Trainer window now says that i have 35 skill in DW and training button still greyed out.

any sugestions how to make this work?

one more quetsion- why there is no berserker in class skills table???

Probably because you have to modify the client as well.

Whenever you make changes to customize your server, you need to make the changes to the client as well or else you're going to run into issues. You can't change the server files and just assume the client will accept everything.

Let's put it this way. Don't you think it's a bit obvious that when SoE patches something in the game that your client automatically downloads it? It's patching the client files to reflect the changes made to the server.

As to what files to change, try looking on the wikki. There's also tons of info on the forums as well.

well i agree to you on general concept, but i would expected that client gets information about such things from server on the fly, when you actualy connect to the server to play. But i guess soe always making things harder =)

i doubt that wiki would contain information on client hacking - this kind of goes against the nature of this project =)
