View Full Version : Mob parade - an extrimly weird pathing issue

So I am playing around with my new greater faydark.

I have 1 spawn group which holds about 30 random spawn location all around newbee lifts area in gfay.

I have a grid which covers about 50 location around same area.

All of the spawn locations are assign this grid.
The grid type is set to 1 - which according to tutorial makes mob to pick one of nearby 10 random way points and go there.

So idea that mob spawn, each picks a random point near by and goes there.

NOT...

All mobs instead spawn at Way Point #1, and then like a big parade start marching toward their spawn points!!!! Once they arrive at their spawn points they freeze there and refuse to move....


So I changed roaming pattern to #2 - which makes mobs go to any random way point on the grid.
Mobs again spawn in 1 large group at way point 1, but atleast start roaming wihout freezing.

Any ideas what cuases mobs to spawn at way point instead of spawn location????

Are the locations for each spawn at different points or are they just kinda set to spawn at the same location. To my knowledge, if you dont give each a different spawn point, they will of course spawn at same location. Would apply if you made on mob and then duped the entry multiple times.

oh yeah the spawn location all diffirent (the spawn group is the same)
all spawn location have same path grid id however

if i set path grid type to 0 - go in circle or to 3 - patrul, then all mobs spawn corretly - at their spawn lcoation and all start going in cirle/patrul according to way points layed out. - so these settign works excatly as they supose to.
If I remove roamign complitly- all mosb spawn where they supose to and stay in place.

But if I set roam type 1 or 2 (random roam or random 10) they all Spawn at Way Point #1!!! and start roam around randomly from there.. which is a complite mystery to me...



I have a simulary set up bandit camp in another spawn group. Bandit spawn in about 10 diffirent location, and start to roam around.

The set ups of both group are basicly identical (expect that in spawn group I have problem with all mobs set to wonder, not just few)

My spawn group looks like this:

Mobs that can spawn:
Wolf 25%
bear 25%
beetle 25%
Bat 25%


Spawn Location:
x1,y1,z1, path grid a
x2,y2,z2, path grid a
x3,y3,z3, path grid a
x4,y4,z4, path grid a
x5,y5,z5, path grid a

etc


so only roaming grid is the same

did some more testing and this is excatly what happens:

all mobs spawn where they supose to...
then 5 seconds later they all INSTANTLY warp to way point 1
then they start roaming around from there
