There used to be a Vent server for eqemu. It rarely experienced more than minute amounts of traffic (rarely more than 7 to 10 users). A good portion of the online users were tucked away in channels revolving around games unrelated to EQ or Emu. Most of those channels were private.

And this was when the Vent server was being hosted for free. When did the server disappear? When the next licensing year came around for renewal and Rogean said "I need enough donation to cover the next licensing year. If I can't get enough to cover the next year the server has to go offline."

The vent server disappeared the next month. I presume that spoke for the demand for a vent server.

I think people would use it, sure. But likely not for EQEmu.

If i host one its gonna be licensed.

Only channels available are General, AFK, ADMINS, Servers In Progress, (and the populated Servers will have channels, such as PEQ/DragonSoul/KMRA/ and etc

there will be rules and ZERO tolerance for ass hats that do stupid shit just to piss people off lol.

The eq vent server was very popular for a while, for people using it with there friends to play live.

It was rarely used for EQEmu stuff, hell i cant think of a single time it was.

I was perma logged into it for a while, and was alone 99% of the time.

As good as an idea as it sounds with the decreasing population and the fact it was tried for over a year and nobody used it, it would be a waste of money.
