RAVE: Stat Server.

Man this server is fun.
OK so it has some of the stuff i do not look for in a server , use of the #zone command is not my thing, but in the starter area etc it's kinda needed. And it's not very self explainitory about what you are to do at first because of the way the server works. But i will attempt to explain.
No matter Race, class etc. When you log in all your attributes are 1.
The use of readily available "essence" items raises these scores.
Each attribute you raise effects you in certain ways (like regular eq) but hugely more dramatically.
For instance, Wisdom effects Spell dmg, a 10 point raise in wisdom could double your base spell damage. While a 10 point raise in strength could double your base melee dmg.

Not only on each kill do you gain EXP you also gain Essence. So not only are you gaining levels. You are gaining essence to upgrade your character AND gaining your plats/ trinkets that drop.

Another rave. You do not loose memmed spells when you die.
Spells auto learn as you level .

This server is so far outside the box of regular humdrum bored with EQ I'd encourage anyone to try it out if they want to try something refreshing.

This server is very nice , when i saw that1 stat thing and so i was so hmm whats the word , intreigied or something , So i went and cxhecked it out , and its a awsome server

pets are nice , not 2 overpowered like some servers ,
can be soloed dont know bout highend nameds havnt checked them out

and the essences gear are dropable so like if u got a firend whos max level and got the good gear from threte already he can get u some :)

at level 30-40 i get 30-50 essence a kill , and my gear is rougly 800-1600 essence per item

it looks like a long grind for the essence it comes really fast , i got 2.5k esssence from 1-20 ( my shaman was afking while monk slauyghted a bit)

I am like lvl 125 mnk and shmmy box, this is an awesome server....essence comes easy around 100-120 getting bout 250 a kill and also getting alot of xp, i can grind out 20-40 aa erry 15 mins and about 100k essence erry 30 mins if im straight killin and shmmy dont die, anyways this server has an awesome system, autoscribe spells, autoscribe skills/discs and the stat gameplay is amazing!

I just tried the server. There's no information as to how or where to report bugs. Commands work fine but when I zoned back into rujh my character can't move. Nothing is more annoying than a lack of information and bugginess at the outset. There's not even a *hint* about contact information. 2 thumbs down at this point.

I tried zoning out and back in before I posted. Also tried to #zone using coordinates and got an error that my access isn't of sufficient level to use coords. I was pretty thorough before I quit and posted here.

Were you encumbered? All stats starting at 1, I found myself unable to move at one point too.

The server is interesting. A website, wiki, forum, in-game information, and/or more dev's, would be great.

No. As I said before, I was thorough before I posted. Yes, it's interesting, but pretty useless without a way to contact a GM.

yea the time you were ecumbered was probz when u went and Killed some mobs

remeber PP and silver copper and gold auto goes into your inv so you get overweighted , i had the problem for a loong time on shammy untill bout 40 where i got some semi decent str buffs.

GUIDE
1. when u enter look around for a basiiak by a aug pool and give you essenence stone , he gives you 400 essence
2. go to the eyeball vendors , spend it , if your a melle , get str/dex/sta and if your a Caster , get str ( not much tho just enough to carry things) main ones is wisdom / int / cha ( yes wisdom if your a int caster and int if you wisdom caster) wisdom increases dmg spells int increases mana pool and cha helps fizzles and resists
3. Once your ready ask for buffs if u can shamans are uber buffers thy get the same buffs as live but they can add sersious dmg on this server , once u got some buffs do #zone fieldofbone and enjoy , REMEMBER the blazing forge is rujh so to get back its #zone rujh or die :)

suggugstions for zones ( i'm a duo so u might need 2 change a little)
1-20 field of bone 1-5 by the noob mobs , 5-10 like the spiders etc in the pit , 10-15 the bryanis things , 15-xxx ( i stayed till 24) by kurns , outside put the harder things.
20-27 PC #zone paludal once again i soloed ( with monk) u start at holowshade moor zone , run to bandits 1 kill camp , got 2nd camp and kill u should be pretty high after that
27-40 Crystals caverns #zone crystal , it may be a little hard at 27 , but ill say youll manage most of the time monk soloed again.
40-65 Dulak , Sounds a bit high but its easy and fast , soloed witth monk
65 - xxx , only 70 atm , #zone poeartha , its very hard , 600 hitters and such , i usauly have to heal once a fight

shammy 71 and monks 70 atm ,

for thouse intestered for epic its req 180 rec 200 , in the 150+ rujh ive been told

No, apparently you have trouble reading plain english. That character is *not* encumbered. He is *stuck*. Unlike dweebs who just piss and moan over problems, I actually troubleshoot *thoroughly* before I make report.

hmm dunno then , maybe u have do a #acceptrules or sumthin , i didnt , never come across , imma bout 2 log on , come on if u can , be easier han forum chat ,

thught u were ceumbered cuz u auto loot lots of crap so most chars gets weighted 2 fast hehe ,

nice taps :P trying to find wa i can do with it tho , necro/ranger died on the way 2 vindi , zeks proctecters and that giant killed us , i should take monk and shaman , then theres a tank and 2x dps and a healer/slower and a puller hehe be l33tass

its almost fixed :) , It shows u gettin low but dosnt show u the actual hps , buyt come on , these things take time , theres only 1 dev so its gonna be slow but hell yea he/she done a Amazing job so fars..

not exactly the "need" for shamans, it's just the advantage you gain from having a shaman to buff you. I have a feeling once the highest levels are seen the "need" to have a shaman is not so great for the stats.. Although a haster, slower and healer are always welcome.

It's pretty much a need before "high lvls". Stats do so much here and shamans are the best at raising them.

Aye , Shamans are Slighty overpowered , just thoughyt druids get a sweet ass spell at 51 , with high Wis that be like 1.5k HOT for 3mins , Which be the Pler for Druids since DS sucks , only likr 40's unless beefed up :)

Been playing here for the last two days and the concept is quite amazing. There are always helpful people online, which makes the experience that much better.

P.S. There is quite a nasty bug that crashes the Zone Servers. I sent you a PM about it.
