Irc chat down?

I tried to connect to the irc chat on eqemulator.net but it keeps timing out. I used the other server that ranger recommended, that works but noone in there. Is there another server where I can talk to someone about support?

I notice while I can connect to the server is does say MOTD file is missing is this why I can't see anyone in the chat?
