Hi all,

I've successfully been playing a emu/peq 1104 server for the past couple of weeks with minilogin and having a ball but have decided I want to host it at my place of work.

I'm a system administrator for a large company with 10MB fibre connection to the internet and attempted to install a fresh copy of 1106 and the 1106a peq database today using the public login servers so our friends can all join in on a good connection. Basically our set up is.

Firewall > Microsoft ISA Server > Cisco 1721 Router > EQEmu server

Now the server seems to be running perfectly fine I can connect locally to it if I use mini login but the problems start after the public server and I am assuming its an ISA Server issue but not sure.

All traffic from the clients get through our primary firewall which is great. Infact the server logs into the public login server no problems at all and a client offsite can connect to the public server and see our server in the public server list to connect to it.

When the client client connects it returns to the login screen.

On examination the world server logs a Net Error of the type Unable to identify from stream. So it seems to connect initially ok and then the connection is severed. ISA reports that the connection was gracefully closed.

Does anyone have any ISA experience that could help with this set up or explain what that error means in the world log? There are three posts on the forum from a wide search relating to that error but no solutions and different scenerios. Any help would be appreciated.

I'll keep plowing at it and post a solution for future reference should no one be able to help if I find the solution.

Cheers.
