Thanks to all you who helped me get my server up and running. Right now I am looking into more GM commands and DB editing. I want to change the XP gain on my server to 2x, and I am wondering how to do this.

first your going to want a nice db editing program to do all of your editing, I suggest navicat. For base exp it is located in the rule_values table of your database, group and aa exp are located in the variables table.

Hey thanks. This program looks pretty nice. I found the table you mentioned for the XP gain, and I am surprised to see it set at a default of 0.75.
Another question: I want my server to be an EQ classic type server, so how do I disable zones so that no one can enter them? Also, at the character select screen, how do I make it so that people cannot create Frogloks, Beastlords, Berserkers, or any other non-Classic characters?

As far as disabling zones go, in the Zone table, set the min_level to a number that is higher than the highest level a character can get on your server. This way, if you decide to open a zone, you just have to change the min_level again.
The Character types, I don't know.

the easiest way to do this is by putting a 1 in the expansions value in the variables table, this will auto make max level 50 not allow them in kunark, no iksars, frogs, or cats, and no zerks, or beasts. It will also force old models :D

Cool. So if I want just classic, stick a 1 in that table. If I want Kunark or Velious enabled (as well as max lvl 60), do I put in a 2 or 3 then?

This is VERY cool. Had to make sure this isn't April fool's. Had an old thread (http://www.eqemulator.net/forums/showthread.php?t=24876) going about it and nobody seemed to know what it was for.
Thanks!
