Custom npc help

Hi,,, i have been trying for weeks now trying to make custom npc, i have tried everything i can think of i put #spawn ( name of merchant i want him.her to be ) then i get confused on the rest if someone can make a simple discription so i can get it working that would be great =- ) thanks :)

Just type #spawn and it will tell you what you need to fill in.

Example:

#spawn Test_Merchant 1 50 3 10000 0 41

This will make an NPC named "Test Merchant" that will be a level 50 Human Male Merchant wearing Plate armor with 10000 HPs.
