Random Freezing

I seem to have a problem where my computer just freezes up. It happens more is some zones than others. Like in Trackanons Teeth I cannot even play more than a min before the whole computer freezes. I am running Windows XP with an NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS that has the latest driver...had an older driver so updated to see if that would fix it but still crashes. I have to restart computer because whole thing freezes.

Any ideas what would be causing this and how to fix it?
