zone.exe crashes first time i change zones

Hello all

I am quite new here, and have been fighting for a few days to get the emulator up and running for me and my brother to try out.

I have had various errors, but think I finally got alot of it worked out, and have everything loading correctly, or so it seems.

I am using the rev 126 release of eqemu and the newest db which was 125

I load the server up fine, and can log into the game.

When in game I can move around, use GM commands and whatever, but the first time I try to zone somewhere, like this morning I tried POK. I get a windows error that

Zone.exe has a problem and must close.

And in the eqlaunch window where the zones are loading I see this
[Debug] [LAUNCHER__STATUS] Zone dynamic_05 has gone down. Restart timer started.

When this happens, my character can still move around in the zone he is in, but cannot click anything, cannot use gm commands. I have to log off and back on again.

I think I posted this in wrong section and should be moved to windows server, if so sorry.

But I thought I solved the problem, found one dumb mistake on my end so far, I dont think I had the ports forwarded properly is why chars were crashing on zones and crashing from character select when entering world.

I fixed my forwarding, and was able to get into the game, and started in Tutorial, zoned to Nek Forest with no issue, used some GM commands.

Then zoned to Lavastorm though and got the zone.exe has crashed error in windows, closed that and the zone shut down and auto restart, but leaves my char stuck in game, he cant zone, or type or use any commands.

So am stuck on that at this point. But will continue to be looking

First thing to check when failing to zone is to make sure you put the Spells_en.txt & Spells_us.txt files in the server directory on the pc running the server. You find them in the titanium folder, just copy and add them to the server folder.

Thanks very much, I think that may have resolved the problem

I am not sure how I missed that, must have been cause I have deleted and recreated my eqemu folder about 15 times in the last 3 days to get this working and didnt replace the the spell files this time.

I am still testing a little though, I zoned from Lavastorm to Nekluos, then to Neriaka, neriakb, and neriakc, without issue, then crashed when I used #zone poknlowlege to go there.

But didnt get my error from before, just crashed. So going to test that zone some more now.

I am having the same problem where my Zone.exe crashes and putting the spell texts in my Emu folder didnt seem to fix this, i dont know what to do now i have been messing with this thing for a few days now and am not having much luck.
