Add items to merchant

On my server. I have made a merchant, but can not seem to find;
How do I add items to merchant.
How do I set price for those items. I want to set them at free like I have seen on other servers

The easiest way to add items to a merchant is to use GeorgeS merchant tool. And to set prices, you can use his item editor and adjust the price of each item one at a time.

Someone please translate this into stupid talk please, so I can understand. And no I didnt edit anything.

When you install GeorgeS tools in each folder theres a db.ini file you need to edit to match your database. I dont have the format in front of me since I'm at work but you just need to change the fields in there to match. Your username, password and DB name(ax_classic or peq) basicly the same as in your eqemu_config.xml file.

when you extracted them did you maintain the file structure? or just extract all the files into a single folder?
I have mine in C:\GeorgeS Tools\ then all the individual directories for each tool in here.

I'm not sure if thats what the error means but this is a mistake i made.

Download the ODBC drivers from GeorgeS site, in the downloads area below where his tool downloads are. Then, install them. And make sure that you run the register_ocx.bat file in the resources directory where you installed them.

OK merchants are working now, and they have the items I wish for them to have. Thanks all for the help.
Next problem is how do I modify the prices? On the bottom of GoergeS MERCHANT EDITOR ver 1.6.10 there is an expand button, BUT my PC will not let me see what is down there. No matter what I do

Thanks all for the help. Changed one item to the correct price, so I know I can do the rest. For anyone reading this for a how to. You must reboot for item editor changes. To add items, to merchant you only need to rezone for changes to happen.
I want to single trevius out he is always answering peoples questions, and is always a big help.

You need to go into the resources directory again and run the register_ocx.bat file. That is it.

Done that still not working

remove the /s in the register_ocx.bat to see if it's installing and run as admin.
Looks like the registration still fails, but let us know what you get.

Make sure the a.ocx and others are in the /resources folder.
Otherwise I'm pretty stumped.

On vista, you can run as administrator which I hear works for this.
on XP, not sure

Perhaps this may help -- from another thread

Here is how to get georges tools to work with windows vista.

1. go to georges home page and download the MYODBC Drivers and install them.
2. In the program you donloaded edit the db.ini file with your db information.
3. find the register_ocx.bat file *most of the time its in the resources folder* and right click the file and choose edit.
4. in the file you will see for example: regsvr32.exe a.ocx /s you have to enter the full path to the the regsvr32.exe file so it should look like this: c:\windows\system32\regsvr32.exe then you must enter full path to the a.ocx file so it should look something like this: C:\GeorgeS_Eqemu_Files\resources\a.ocx and you can delete the /s it is not needed and also if you have the path wrong it will tell you or it will justt say it succeeded. The whole thing should look like this:
c:\windows\system32\regsvr32.exe C:\GeorgeS_Eqemu_Files\resources\a.ocx
now you need to do this with every ocx file listed in the register_ocx.bat file. After your done save your work then exit the file.
5. next right click the file and create a shortcut to it on your desk top.
6. right click the shortcut you just made on the desktop and choose properties.
7. on the properties screen under the general tab choose advanced.
8. On the advanced Properties screen choose Run as administrator. then click ok. next click apply then ok.
9. double click the shortcut you made on your desktop and let the program run and it will install the driver paths you should get pop ups with every succeeded install if you get and error message make sure your paths are correct in the register_ocx.bat file and also make sure you entered your data base information correctly in the db.ini file.
10. run your tool and enjoy.

Ok did that and merchant works

I can not (dont know how)
Change ID, so I can make new item
Make clicky work. I remember in "new edit" I had to change some stuff, something about 1000 and -1 or something like that.

I got old edit to work. Still a couple things I am unable to do in old edit, but for the most part it works.
