Hailing problems

So are quests basically just broken in EQEmu?
Cause I wanted to run a private server to just run around and do quests by my self for fun.

Quests work very well. Make sure you followed the install wiki page properly and put all of the folders in the right places.

i am having the same issue, and i have double checked all the locations for the files. i am not able to hail/quest.

because the last poster was very vague about solving the issue, i would add that there are TWO guides to creating servers here at eqemulator, one here http://www.eqemulator.net/wiki/wikka.php?wakka=ws992mysql5 and one here http://www.eqemulator.net/wiki/wikka.php?wakka=ws1129r222

both have subtle differences, one wants perl DBI-Mysql to be installed, the other doesnt, etc...

i have followed the second guide since it is written a LOT better and was successful in creating a server i could login to and play, however i cannot hail any NPC nor pick up any quests. anyone have any thoughts?
