Can't see items in game

Posted by Zeice Date 12-13-2008 So I've been trying to get all the icons that work with GeorgeS' item editor to work in game. I searched and found the threads about downloading the dragitem files from the patcher. So I did that and unzipped them to my uifiles/default folder in my EQ folder, but I'm still not able to see the items in game and I have no idea what else to try. If anyone has any insight it would be much appreciated.

Before updating to Rev279 I had Rev233 and updated to dragitem60.:shock: that fixed the ingame items, now that we can have up to 120000 items with Rev279 ,I updated to Rev279 and updated to dragitem67.:shock: I'm ingame and type #si 106853 (Raxtki the Skitterer Render (one of the 13th floor items)) and the item was summoned but the items icon was perl neckless, I put the item in the primary slot of my toon. My toons hand movied to show a weapen there but could not see the item.:shock:

My question is has anyone come with a way to fix this problem.

Some of the item icons were wrong in the newest 13th Floor dump. I guess it's an error in their collector, and Lucy seems to have the same bad data. In every case, it showed up as a necklace. I've fixed the older items in PEQ already, but any of the new ones are still broken due to not having any point of reference.

Getting the new items working is my current priority, so keep on eye peeled on PEQ CVS. At any rate, this time was much easier than last. Anybody who played on TGC last year when the items were dumped can attest to that!

That particular item won't work with our client, because both the icon and in-game graphic aren't present in our client. Sorry :(

You can fix the problem by assigning a new graphic to the item in question. I have written a new command for my server which allows you to change item graphics in game. My SVN server is down right now while I'm changing hardware but if you need such a command, remind me in a few days and I'll pull it out for you.
