Okay check this out ....

Every weekend or so my buddies use to come over ... and play AOE(II)

I have a modem with multiple ports on it .... now listen

.I have 3 computers in this room to use to AOE(II) it has always worked before , but ever since I went into my PORT forwarding with EQemu ... and it never worked again ... can someone explain why I cant play LAN/TCPIP connection on AOE I dont understand

ever since I messed with eqemu It doesn't want to work , so the only thing I can think of is that EQemu dicked with it ... even when I go into port forwarding and (un check) the enable It still wont function .... NO fire walls were on and it still wont run , and it didn't start happening till I did the port forwarding to make my server run , reguardless if my server is on or OFF it still wont work ... if anyone knows how to fix this please help

***quick verison***
I cant play LAN with AoE(II) and I dont know why , only thing if change for it not to work is PORT forwarding ever since I made that change it wont function

:D makes sense here.

i ran into this issue with TripleA (axis&allies freeware) online multiplayer.

had to forward all the ports to the machine i was running TripleA on (i was hosting the match). and at last one series of those ports was in use by eqemu. then it was i found out ether my router cannot forward a port to multiple pc's or i simply couldnt figure out how to do so.

Producer, I am losing count of how many of your threads I have had to move from 1 section to another. We try to keep things organized around here for a reason, so please try to pay more attention to what section you are posting in from now on. In this post, you are asking for support and you posted it in the development section. Not a huge deal, but just try to be more conscious of it. It makes more work for us mods/admins.

If you are playing completely within a LAN, port forwarding has no effect at all unless you have some extremely funky setup for your network. Try google searching or forums for AoE instead. The only time port forwarding would have an effect would be if someone outside your network was trying to reach your server, or if you were going out and back in for some reason (which some games may do). You can probably find on google the ports you need for AoE and see if they overlap with any EQEmu ports. Of course, if you have DMZ setup instead of individual ports, you are asking for trouble in the first place.
