You have to purchase a legal copy of Everquest Titanium to play the emulator. Any other way of attaining the client is illegal and discussion of that subject is a bannable offense on these forums.

Only Everquest Titanium currently works with the emulator. Though, hopefully soon, Secrets of Faydwer will work with it as well. This means you have to have one of those retail expansion packs. Individual CDs will not work.

not to beat a dead horse, but i do know of one modded emu server that lets you use anniversary edition. my question is, how did they do it?

Anniversary had alot of work done on it by FNW after it came out, but it was never finalized and basically scrapped. If a server will let you use it, they would have to have finished it off. I doubt that is the case. My guess is that you are talking about Raid Addicts. They provide a "patch" download of files that basically converts pretty much any client after Titanium into one that is compatible. The download of those files is illegal though. And, unless I am mistaken, they have since changed their source to use the SVN revisions, which should mean it isn't compatible with that illegal version any more.

I am talking of SoD. I believe RA still asks for Titanium.

Ahh, SoD is their own little project. They haven't shared anything (or at least much) with EQEmu for a very long time. It would be interesting to see some of the source code they have going on, but that just isn't much of a probability. Though, with the work for SoF that we have been doing lately, I wouldn't be surprised if they take advantage of that to update their server to work with SoF. I don't really know much about them other than that they aren't affiliated with EQEmu.
