EQEmulator.net Wins the Award for 2009 years most unreachable Internet server.

I can't even think about a server that even comes close to being unreachable as much as EQEmulator.net.

Good work guys!

It's getting so bad they haven't even banned you yet for complaining, LOL.

However complaining about a free service is pointless. You get what you don't pay for. ;)

It's not a money, or any other sort of help-offered issue. So many people in these forums have offered resources, money (donations), and anything they could do to help - only to be totally ignored.

He's not complaining about free service - he's complaining about neglect.

Yeah, they should do a fundraising drive like PEQ is.

Like Angel said , its not lack of money or support, Its more like lack of interest of the parties involved in keeping it running. I don't blame them they have been doing this for years and everything gets to be to much to be bothered with after awhile. Maybe SOE will take over running the forums and keep it running more smoothly ..... If anyone thinks a backup forum would be a good idea I can make one up through my host....

The forums have sort of taken back seat to login, as it's far more disruptive when that's down. We have an outside svn and irc isn't affected.

The problem with the website being hoserated is two fold tho.

New users cant get the information they need to load/maintain a server
and Old users no longer have a place to get updated development information.
Not everyone uses SVN. Not everyone bookmarks all the spin off pages for all the eqemu utils and db's.

Hell as well as i know the emu i still come here to read the forums and keep up on stuff and to find new ideas.

Without the forum/community there really wouldnt be an emulator.

Agreed, we're working on it daily and hopefully we can get some semblance of stability soon.
