Do not patch after 7/23 because there is a patch on 7/24 (today) that will probably break EQEmu 0.3.4.

Known 0.3.4 bugs:

1. You crash almost every time you zone.
2. You crash while logging in (can sometimes be fixed by making a new character that starts in a differant zone. Surefall Galde is a nice choice; Make a human druid with default deity setting.)
3. 0.3.4 does not support Windows 95, 98 or ME because there was no Zone9x.exe included (unable to test it before release).
4. Spells do not work "correctly" in 0.3.4 because spdat.eff is no longer used by eqgame.exe. it now uses spells_en.txt.

**Update: It appears that EQEmu works with the latest patch with about the same stability as last patch. If you do patch, make sure you BACK UP THE EQ DIR and download/use EQW 2.3. If you cant get it to work on your server or the server you usually play on, try Lyenu's Playground which is running latest dev code (running 0.3.5 Beta 1)

I've noticed that the server is getting worse and worse as time goes on. i remember when it was awsome and almost everything was working, now there are hardly no updates and everything is broken.
is Eqemu dying?

If so, then it is a sad day :(
looks like i'll have to switch back to hackersquest again, although i'd rater stay here if eqemu would only get fixed.

some suggestions:
use 1 client version don't keep up with verant.
doing this provides better service. and you can get more things done and fix and have an awsome game.

IF you created an emu from a fresh install for example:

Install Everquest, Ruins of Kunark, Scars of Velious, Luclin.
then without patching create the Emulator. This way your not having to change everything everytime there is a patch. Sure you would not have all the equipment but if the Admin program works than you can create your own. Just adding my 1 cent don't have 2 cents worth.

You would also have all the bugs from back then (buggy zones), loss of features (alot of em), ect..

There is plans to stabalize with this patch and give out eqfix.zip's again (containing EQ files for this patch incase u ever patch in the future).

Don't argue with the man!!!!, if hes going to give
out eqfix again, just say "WOOHOOO" because I
think it will be a first time in awhile. Last time I got that file it was at v0.1.6 (you guys at the top must have made some progress on the licensing end....) BTW running lan games with this is the S*%T!!!

lol i thought that posting stuff that contained files to fix everquest was called warez by you people but anywhom i think you should use the 24ths patch and stick with that for a while cuase that patch owns heh

It appears that EQEmu works with latest patch (with about as much stability as last patch). (On lyenus server anyway).. so it is probably safe to patch (back up the DIR first though).
