Ok so, I was placing missing .dll files when I came across MSS32.dll

So I placed it in my windows directory, and tried to run eqgame shortcut. It then said, MSS dll must be installed into the application directory,

Ok so I installed it into the Everquest directory, Same problem!

I read entire forums and wikki no help here..

Anyone?

Should I start over from scratch?

What are you doing exactly? You only need to install the client fresh and not modify anything. If you are having to move DLLs around, then you probably aren't running the correct client or something.

Ok,

I installed Everquest Titanium,
Then I followed the steps on the read me for only connecting to someone elses server and playing.

Then I made my eqgame shortcut.
I changed the shortcut with patchme
Then I tried to run Everquest, with the eqgame shortcut. It said I was missing some .dll files... So I started downloading all the missing .dll files.. I got to 1 file and it was the MSS32.dll
and it had the error in my previous post.

I uninstalled eq titanium.
I am going to try to reinstall and start over tomorow.
Maybe itll work then.

You are a savior! I was usin the wrong readme

Note to all other noobies, If you have to move your DLLs around your not reading the correct readme!! lol.. DOH!

please post the location of the incorrect readme you were using so it can be edited/deleted or something.
