login/password error

hey i just got eq and followed the what to do page to make it work and it keeps rejecting my username and password...anyone got a clue whats going on and how to overcome this??

I am now getting password errors for some reason and I was just on 3 hours ago....anyone know how to fix this issue?

Your usernames and passwords are fine. The login server is up,but is having an issue getting the names/pw's from the database. This has been a recurring problem that may actually still be due in part to the forums being active, as that puts strain on the box housing the login server. Just give it time and KLS will fix it,either by bringing the site down or rebooting..whatever works best/is most convenient.

I agree with darkshadows on this. Everything was running smoothly while the forums were down and then surprise, surprise once forums are back up not too long later the LS is /gasp ... down. I personally think the forums should be taken down and left down until a permanent fix can be put into place to allow both the LS and forums to work at the same time.

It is no where near as bad as it was just over a week ago :P I am sure KLS will fix it when she gets a chance to.

They are still working on a permanent solution to the Login Server issues. Hopefully they will get the website moved to it's own hosting soon, which should remove all of the stability issues with the Login Server. Either way, a few hours of downtime every few days is nothing compared to what were were seeing before. It is still a little frustrating, but definitely bearable. I think it is acceptable while we wait on the permanent solution to come into effect. Since KLS got access, the Login Server went from probably 30% up-time to more like 80-90% up-time which isn't nearly as bad.
