Client hates me?

Ok so i had a mylogin self server deal working just fine on my old comp using windows xp awhile back. Decided to get back into messing around with eq again on my new comp. Now i have followed everything in the guide EQEmulator ws1129r222 and it seems the server is working perfectly. I get all 3 windows, minilogin, eqemu and mysql with no errors. However when i try to connect with the client wich is an unpatched titanium version 1.75 it always says invalid username or password. Just to make sure i changed the host to Host=eqemulator.net:5998 and tried to connect to eqemus servers but still the same thing. I have tried everything i know how, changing ip's in all the varries config files to diff things such as my lan ip or the 127.0.01 deal and even the windows sys32 generic host ip. Im running windows vista 64 home priemium and I dont know if eq client has an issue with it or not but at least it would try to log on i would think. Ive beat my head against this for 2 weeks now and im just out of ideas, its seems everything is right but it just isnt working. Please if anyone has any ideas no matter how crazy hook me up.

Are you trying to setup a public server, or a minilogin server?

If you are trying to set your eqhost.txt file to have your client log into the public login server, you must also have a Login Server account. You can create one in the User CP of these forums. Once you have one created, you should at least be able to log into the Public Login Server.

As for minilogin, there isn't any real authentication if you are using the old one. You should be able to type anything in there and get authenticated providing you set up your minilogin properly and are pointing your eqhost.txt to the right address.

I know there are some pre-packaged mini-login setups around here that would probably be much easier for you to get running.

My main goal is just the minilogin private server wich as i said seems to running perfectly. I do have an LS account with Eqemu but even that wont work and i do have my eqhost set right, its as if the eq client is ignoring whatever i put in eqhost and will not connect to anything. Its so frustrating. Im using minilogin 6.2, not sure if thats the old one or not. I know the one i setup before was different just cant remeber what exactly. Curently i have everything pionting at 127.0.01 wich should connect everything but isnt.
