Booted to login screen

Hello all,

I setup eqemu on my desktop PC and now i am trying to play on my laptop. I followed the instructions the same on both setups. But on my laptop, after i log in, i select my server, it then begins to load, but then just boots me to login screen with no error of any kind. Anyone have any ideas? I have tried to connect to a different server and i get the same thing. Just stops loading and boots me back to the login screen.

Only thing that changed was the location i installed EQ too. Desktop is on my second HD, on my laptop i installed it on my primary harddrive.

My shortcut icon reads like this :

target: "C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest\eqgame.exe" patchme -w
start in : "C:\program files\sony\everquest"

not sure but that was in the readme file i got. Ive tried it with and without the -w. on my desktop i have the -w and it works fine.

Sounds like your client isn't compatible with the servers atm.. A Fresh Titanium install is best ....

i'm having this exact same problem, only with SoF, my titanium had been running just fine. but now that im on SoF im getting this issue

If the server you are trying to play on isn't updated to the current update and hasn't updated in a while, then it probably doesn't support SoF yet. As far as I know, there are at least a few servers that do support it including PEQ and Storm Haven, so you should try one of those to see if you have any issues connecting to them.

i'm having this exact same problem, only with SoF, my titanium had been running just fine. but now that im on SoF im getting this issue

I'm pretty sure there is a problem with some server setups, and the SoF client, as I can log into some servers, but others no, and they are all up to date.
The only thing I could relate this problem to, is that the servers I can't get into with the SoF client, use older software, but that's just speculation.
