Replacing the new item models with the old ones

So I hate the newer item models that came in a year or so ago, and I was wanting to replace them with the old ones. I've got an older version of the items table but no matter what changes I do to it in the changelog, I keep getting a long error.

Is it possible to mysqldump the 'item model' column within the older item database I have an replace the newer one with it? Or is there a different way to go about doing this?

Better yet, does anyone have an item database that uses the old models that's also compatible with the Rev628 release they'd like to share with me? :)
