Error while trying to alter Eqhost File

when i try to save the new EQhost.txt file, it says:

Cannot create the C:\Prgogram FIles\Sony\EverQuest\eqhost.txt file.

Make sure that the path and file name are correct.

i've made sure that the path and file name are correct..

anyone know a fix for this?

Sounds like Vista.

1. Click Start -> All Programs -> Accessories
2. Right-click Notepad
3. Choose "Run as Administrator"
4. Click "Continue" at the UAC prompt
5. Browse to and modify your eqhost.txt file as desired

ahh ok ty. worked fine.

now there's another problem. ):

i open up character select screen and the character list doesn't show... i've tried relogging, restarting.. yeah. not sure what to do.

any ideas?

The first time you load a server, the character list is supposed to be empty.

There should be a Create Character button at the bottom left of the screen.

If your screen resolution is set too low or window size is set too large, you may not see it.

I couldn't tell you what the setting is, but there is also a setting that if you set wrong will make some ui elements, like the character screen not show up.

I was trying to install a copy of Titanium and configure it to use absolutely minimum stuff to just use for a Bazaar character, and I somehow got my character select panel to not show up at all.

But I was kind of dumb and changed all the settings in one fell swoop, so I don't know what caused it. And haven't really bothered with it since then.

I know thats not a lot of help, but you might try reverting any settings changes you have made recently.
