Login server is Norked 6:24am CST

What does norked mean?

It wont let me login in it says "error username and password are wrong" or something like that even though I know I typed in the right password and Username and even changed the password to make sure I was typing it in right.


And it's really starting to piss me off.

It will continue to happen until either KLS, Rogean, or Doodman see that it is down and restart it. I left a message on IRC about it, so Rogean might see it and get it restarted. Doodman is normally on IRC as well, but this is the first time I haven't seen him on there when I joined. I am sure one of them will get it fixed sometime in the next few hours. Just be patient and it will be resolved. Making more posts doesn't make it get fixed quicker :P

PEQ Creation server has been having a lot of problems lately, & now its completely gone.
I can only hope this is a good sign that these problems might be being addressed (otherwise i guess we'll all move to different servers).

PEQ seems to loose connection to the LS then doesnt have code implemented to reconnect and seems to Require a Reboot. And it is Down as of now and waiting on a restart.

Pretty-much all Linux servers do that. Windows servers don't seem to have the issue nearly as bad though and can normally reconnect on their own. I have searched all over and cannot figure out why it does it. It is one of the biggest annoyances, but is really only a problem when the LS is having issues. Luckily, the LS has been considerably better recently than it was for about a year or 2 before.

Creation server is still not up & i can't seem to activate registration over at the projecteq forums, just what exactly is going on over there?
Is it 3 in the morning in the states or something?

Ah right, registration i figured out (wasn't an automatically generated reg, like everywhere else),
but creation server still not up.

I've only been playing less than a week now on the Creation server & there's been server crashes, zoning time-outs & now this problem.

Anyone recommend another server instead?
i don't enjoy complaining, all i want to do is play some damn eq :P

For the record, PEQ has not had a single crash in the past week. So damn sorry I have to work and can't monitor PEQ 24/7, especially when the problem is the login and has absolutely nothing to do with us.
