New players get no items

Hi There,

Recently my server stopped giving new players items. They'll start with just nothing. I checked the starting_items table and it seems to have all the proper info.

Is there anything I could have misconfigured?

What database?

I am using the PEQ database, downloaded from their website.

Was it working and all of a sudden stopped or did you update your database or code and then it stopped?

I moved the db to a new computer / install, but I used the exact same install files / proceedure

Interesting... getting anything from the logs? How did you move the db? mysqldump and import? Or backup and restore? Or ?

I'm not sure what to be looking for in the logs, the character creation seems normal enough.

I just talked to a player and confirmed the issue existed before I moved the db to a new box...

I used mysql dump.

Thing about start items is they also have to correspond to the start zone. This may be a problem, if it is server wide, you may have a slightly more difficult issue to track down.

I did a test creation and the following error was returned when the character was created:

[error] StoreCharacter inventory failed. Query '(null)' #1264: Out of range vlue adjusted for column 'color' at row 1

For each of the inventory items.

I am also getting a null error when new accounts are created, (I have to manually add them for people to be able to connect)...so maybe they are related.

Also, as an aside, Dibalamin who were you on Emarr? This server is actually an Erollisi Marr reunion server a couple of old players are setting up for fun.
