...is launched. I plan on updating this database in a similar style to PEQ, and will be maintained by the EQClassic community. The schema almost exactly the same as ProjectEQ's database, therefore I assume it is compatable with EQEmulator, and thus, I am posting it here as well. Anyone is allowed to contribute to the project, as it is open-source. EQClassic itself is not open source, in fact, this project is only affiliated with EQClassic, this database is a way for us to contribute back to the community from whose database we used as a base.

If anything is incompatable with EQEmulator, let me know and I will do my best to correct it. I know merchantlist may be incompatable with EQEmulator, but the others should work fine.

Other than that... this project is rolling. I am in no way trying to compete with nilbog's Project 1999, by the way. Nor am I trying to compete with Angelox's ax_classic. I actually used some of ax_classic in my server, as some zones are better made than PEQ. Plain and simple, I want a no-nonsense, no-custom classic server database available for public use.

The project can be found on google code here: http://code.google.com/p/eqclassicdb/, and I suggest checking out SVN after the downloads section as it contains some needed updates. Special thanks to cavedude and team for the PEQ Editor, which I hacked up to make our editor.

I would love to see some of the EQEmu folks contribute, our forums are at EQClassic.org, and you must already have 5 posts to see the forum. If you rather submit them and do not wish to post on the EQClassic Forum, you can PM me here about it.

Thanks!

Great job! Now that PEQ has a couple of days of downtime I'm going to give this a try :)

Hey cavedude, thanks for checking it out.

I will be (most likely) releasing an EQEmulator version of this database after much consideration. Keep your eyes peeled.

The database is getting a lot of people interested from EQClassic, so i'm happy to be able to release something like this for EQEmulator as well. The community seems really happy about it all, too.
