I've played on a number of servers - most of the now "green server" population and this one ranks high in my opinion. I was suprised to find it before beta was over hiding near the bottom of the list, but now it is even better! Our guild is now actively farming all the tier 2 content and looking forward to the challenge of tier 3!

The server is located in Hungary, so I can't say personally how it may be for players in the USA, but I've heard our American guild members comment that it is great!

The owners/GMs are very active and constantly tweaking and refining. They also value player feedback highly.

Thanks for an awesome server Lillu/Tyler/Striat!

Definitely a great server and Lillu/Tyler have both put a lot of time and effort into making it what it is today. Theirs never a dull moment tbh, just because theirs so much to do! Raids are highly competitive, challenging, and also enjoyable. The same can be said for group content.

Also, I play from the US (East Coast) and have no issues with lag, nor do other players in our guild who play on the West Coast. It's a great server and I have no complaints. The best part is that the devs really listen to player advice :)

My personal favorite server. Not too easy. Not too hard. It's all around well rounded. Plenty to keep you busy.. Just needs more new players!! Best server out tehre imo. Even if you can only play one toon at a time. Just needs more population to keep everything competitive and fun!

As others have said, server is really great and has alot to offer in creative customizations imo. and is always growing. i also play from the USA on Dialup and have no issues (barring thunder storms :-P).

i highly recommend playing on this server. been playing here since may and havent really looked at another server and have played on a few other different ones.

Raids are challenging but not impossible. loot is really balanced. and anyone can level from 1 to 70 with ease of custom zones with the unique content. upgrade paths are spot on imo.

Honestly, the most enjoyable server I've played on to date. There is too much to say about this server. Spectacular GM staff. Very fair and open-minded, with good dedication to their server. The population of the server is also mostly a mature group of players, who enjoy a challenge.

The server offers a large variety of custom content, including zones, quests, long epic journeys, and tons of custom loot options through group content and raid content. Probably the most expansive amount of very well balanced raid content I've seen to date, including key and flag progression with a tiered system that mirrors some live content from back in the good days of velious and luclin.

I currently lead the second best guild named Progeny(in terms of raid progression, nearly 50% through with tier 2 out of 3 tiers, but number one guild in terms of awesome players =D) and we're in need of more capable players to continue progression. We're running open recruitment for all players who achieve 65+ with some exceptions. Gear and flags, including epics will come with joining. We run a dkp system, with our own dkp site and forum. Raid days are M-F around 10:30pm central time to 1:30am central time, roughly. Come join the fun, and we'll show you why we started on THF and haven't looked back! Contact Tankzor, Mazzic, or Hyperion (or any other Progeny members) in game about joining!

I wanted to add something to this, that know me. I was banned not for cheating on this server, but b/c i was flaming on the boards and had some RL probs at the time. I don't think I will be returning to the server as I feel I caused more problems than helped.

The server is beyond 99% of the servers out there. I want to thank Tyler and Lillu for their hard work, and formally apologize for the grief I caused during a volatile situation.

Good Luck On the future of your server as i am sure it's going to be on thats around forever and continue to grow in positive ways.

Just come & try The hidden Forest server!
Make your own opinion through custom zones - quick levelling phase to 70 then join/create guilds for raid content & challenge or enjoy large group content.

I stopped there and will not leave, this server is a blast!

PS: bring your friends with you!

I like custom servers like this when they first open but after they are out awhile there becomes fewer to no lower leveled players to group with and soloing w/o multi boxing becomes very hard.

Nagus69
08-20-2009, 05:47 AM
Yes you are right - most people just make twinks or alts to hand down loot. Although most items here are nodrop. The latest zone i designed now has zome droppable loot again to make twinking easier and maybe someone starts out some more alts so you have more people to group with.

Generally speaking i wanted to add that as a feature - every guild that has 10+ members can get a (private) subforum and their own dkp site for free. You must be able to kill epic 1.5 mobs as only requirement.

I solo'd 1-70 on my first character fairly easily. Granted he was a ranger - I can't imagine trying to solo as say ... a cleric, but still very doable.

One thing I have to stress is the amount of testing lillu and tyler put into zones and quests before they go live, I can't recall one event going live that was out of whack! Kudos guys!

PoFire was just added as a tier 4 group/raid zone, and with it another version of the servers custom charm! The zone is really a great opportunity for new members of the server, because theirs trade-skillable +300HP armor that can be obtained off of group encounters. These items are the equivalent of tier 1 raid loots so they're not bad at all!

Just a bump to let you know that:

THF has now a nember Admin team member who completes the team.
THF has now a third guild which will be raiding soon.
We reached 50+ connected accounts recently.
Latest raid zone news: PoF encounters are designed with scripts which are really good.
Tradeskillers will love THF.

Definitly, happyness is there, come & join THF if you are looking for an excellent PVE custom server!

I've been at The Hidden Forrest since The first of July 09. I immediatly like the server, and the population was quite friendly. I think what did it the most for me was the difficulty. I came from storm haven which is a really nice server, it just didn't seem like its terribly hard to level.

The Hidden forest has a ton of new quests and zones and continues to develope content for their expanding player base. The devs are friendly, helpful and willing to take into account their own goals for the server but the overall consensus of the population when they make decisions pertaining the the server. Every time i've had a problem with an item, npc, zone they have been quick to respond on their forums and help resolve any issues within thier power.

Lately they reached Green status and i'm proud to have been here since they were hiding down at the bottom of the list, ( i often wonder if thats where they got "hidden" from).

Anyways, the player base is amazing. The devs rock, and there is a ton of custom quests, zones, tradeskills to go around. They have a working magelo & allaclone with a fancy design also.

You definatly should check them out!

To update:

We've recently added some special Halloween events for all to enjoy and partake in.

Halloween is upon us and the festivities are in full swing from now until November 8th.

* There is a higher xp rate for all those to level up with - 5x
* Check for new seasonal NPC's and quests in The Hidden Forest zone
* A special secret raid encounter

Come join us for this limited time celebration!

Also, Jeido posted about tier 4 being added, but we also have rolled out epic 2.5's not too long ago and added some unique donator items usable at level 1.

Coming very soon (within the next month as a guess) we also have LDoN adventures along with their own leaderboard tracker and an achievements system where you can compare your achievements alongside others through the magelo page.

So come on out and join us for fun, tricks, and candy this Halloween!

As Jerant said, the Halloween event is out today but he's being modest! He was one of the ones who helped make the quests for it, and the server excitement has really gone up since the quests were released. There are numerous event npc's in the starter zone, and there are some quests too that involve killing around norrath, collecting items for rewards.

Also, there's an illusion NPC for the event in the starter zone, which is always fun :)

Personally, I have my eye on the new level 85 orc that they popped into Crushbone for this event... I've always wanted to raid CB and now I have that chance! I definitely recommend at least stopping by and messing around with the event npc's, they add even more to a server that already has fully customized content/items.

After having played on the server for 10-15 hours now I wanted to go ahead and make a post about it on the forums here.

Most of you know me as Harney, Skeeb, Zhak, Podge etc. I've been around the eqemulator community since 2003ish ( my best guess ). I've played on Guildwars, KMRA, VZ/TZ, Winters Roar ( now Shards of Dalaya ), EZ EXP, Zarn Barn, 5 times and countless other servers that have come and gone over the years.

The Hidden Forest is a legit, fast paced (3-5x exp from what I can gather ) customized PvE server, it reminds me a lot of Winter's Roar. The server is extremely polished, the starter zone / hub zone is very thorough and has pretty much everything you'd want in such a zone.

Leveling goes to 70 and then AA's from there. I currently have 4 boxes at levels 55-56 and have enjoyed the leveling here quite a bit, there are quests / tasks in every customized leveling zone, and access to said zones from the teleporter in the hub zone. The grind that you normally experience on most emu servers definitely does not feel like a grind here, I've stayed in most zones even after I'm done with the exp for the items / clickies that are obtainable to gear all of my toons.

From what I've gathered on their forums and seen in game, they already have 4 raid tiers to progress through once you reach the end game and at least 2 raiding guilds currently.

The box is very stable, I've had no problems with server lag or connection issues, and I'm in Japan currently so that says quite a bit.

This servers population is going to grow immensely once the word gets out about it and people start making toons here. I really cannot stop saying good things about it, with having been around emu for so long, it's almost become the rule and not the exception to complain about how broken most of the servers are, my only complaint so far with this one is the lack of playtime I have.

If you're looking for a solid PvE server, I strongly suggest giving this one a try.

Look me up in game if you need anything

- Harney

To give you an idea about the degree of customization:

150+ Custom Tradeskill Recipes (alternative Routes to go to 300 for most TS)
200+ Custom Spells and Focii
1500+ Custom Items (some totally new, most you will recognize with just updated stats)

Bards can charm at lev70, Mages can get a Root spell etc. Whatever you hated most on old EQ is probably a no issue on our Server.

1.5 and 2.0 are brought in line with the current degree of Player/NPC power. Custom clicks and effects are on some of the Epics.

tnance1337

Those numbers really don't do THF justice. Albeit, a great indicator of content, but the true glowing aspect of this server is the player-base, quality of content, and the devotion from the design staff, which can not be measured in numbers.

Tyler, Lillu, and Striat are dedicated, knowledgeable, very fair, and very open to their player's ideas. They have turned THF into an adventure. It's an experience that is highly immersive, and addicting. Some of the server's features are just awe-inspiring.

The community is also very dedicated, and some of the server's best qualities come from player ideas, including quests, lore, tradeskill ideas, and our very own beautifully modified and developed Alla clone, Magelo Clone, and other web-based server goodies and tools.

The current content is challenging, unique, and rewarding. The upcoming content is highly anticipated and will more than likely continue, and expand on, that trend. I, personally, can not wait, although I have to. =P

Seriously, I'm amazed at THF. I'm a player, not a content designer. I don't know a damn thing about development, and I can tell that Tyler and Lillu, as well as the rest of the community on THF, have poured a lot of time, and effort, into the server. I love the game this server has created for it's entertainment it has given me. I'm surprised more people have not stepped into the world of The Hidden Forest. Trust me, you'll be glad if you do.

With the release of Plane of Fear (tier 6 really, Lillu is lying ;)) we decided that we have enough content to discover by players to put new content on hold.

Instead we decided we review all existing content and fine tune/balance everything so it's more in line with what we want and to meet player's expectations.

Today was the first big round of changes. too many to list. Check us out at www.thehiddenforest.org for details!

I've played on this server since just before Christmas and I have to say it's by far the best out there.

These are the things I love about it:

Best content by a country mile. I've never enjoyed EQ as much as I do now and it's about the only game I play at present. Surprising considering how much I loathed the original game when I stopped playing it.

Support is second to none; way better than I'd ever expect with a voluntary project of this scale.

Community is excellent; by and large everyone is friendly, supportive, helpful and the sense of humour, whilst varied, is generally the right kind.

Fast Exp. Fast Exp. Fast Exp. Cannot mention this enough; the leveling curve is perfectly balanced, allowing full content exploration at a nice and quick pace. Have barely ever felt like I was grinding, even when trying to get a particularly elusive item.

Bots. Love them or loathe them, they're a big part of the server and I am personally a huge fan of them, despite their flaws.

I could go on but the list is relatively endless. Those are the best parts.

Hello,

i played for some time on the Server, and have to say awesome.

Then again, after a week i found out about this "Donor Weapons" etc. which are "and always will be" the best weapons in the game - by far.
So after thinking about it for 5 minutes i decided to stop playing there. Even thought the Server was quite fun leveling up and all, if i can't get the best Equipment the -normal- way, why bother with it at all?

Well thats my opinion, aside of that the best custom Server i seen so far.

ChaosSlayerZ
02-18-2010, 12:09 PM
IMHO - Simply ignore the Donator Weapons ;)
Earn the best weapon you can on your own, and pretend nothing else exists =)
After all Donator weapons only itsy-bitsy better than the best weapon otherwise.

In high end game, just having the Donator Weapon doesn't mean much, cause there are 15 other gear slot you need to fill which do not come easy ;)

khaliss
02-18-2010, 06:31 PM
I was initially offset when I learned about the donator items too, but if you think about it, the way the GM/dev team have developed THF is a mile ahead of the other custom EQ servers (IMHO) and in the real world, developing custom content and maintaining a quality server (fiber internet bandwidth, "real server" hardware, electric bill, upgrades, etc.) cost $$$. You can't really expect the GM/dev/operating team to shoulder the cost of running everything from their own pockets, especially a server with THF's quality and support. If you want a rock solid & custom server, plus a loyal & mature community, THF is the place to be.

Other EMU servers are running on old server hardware (or even laptops, or regular PCs, etc.). Being in the IT field, I shudder at the idea of leveling several toons to 65/70, building AAs, investing a lot of TIME/effort, then suddenly the server crashes and all character information/database is lost... what happens now if there are no backups and the server got completely hosed?

The point of the donator items is to motivate some of the players to share the cost of developing and operating THF. A well run server depends on the community's support. In return for your support (which is entirely voluntary), you are given powerful items, but these items doesn't make you more uber and play in god mode. At best, they are just very slightly superior to the best items obtained in the game itself. I welcome this idea now, and understand why the donation system was put in place. You can just keep your money, play for free, enjoy the custom content, and ignore the donator items (like what Chaos pointed out above).

I'm having a blast on this server, and don't mind handing out a small contribution to the effort. I box 5 accounts and would have paid $75 on live servers per month for traditional content and far less enjoyable experience.

khaliss
02-18-2010, 06:59 PM
Oh did I mention about the GM service and response time is second to none? I lost a couple of items (was auging a ring) when my computer froze, just sent a quick PM in the THF forums and bam, the items got restored sooner than I expected. I never got this kind of support from Live! :-)

Bugs and reasonable requests are also acted upon quickly. GMs implement changes on a regular basis. The direction of the server's development is also heavily influenced by the community via polls, members are asked about their opinion/ideas, etc. That in my book is how an emu server should be 8)

Secrets
02-18-2010, 07:35 PM
Lillu and the rest of the GM team really do a good job on this server. It's probably one of the most enjoyable places to play on and they do take community feedback. While not all ideas are accepted they are at least considered, and for that I give them props.

Still a great server, wish I had more play time then I currently do.
RE: Donator weapons/items. Yes they are nice, Yes they have cool effects, No they are not required to "beat" the game. It really only helps on the low side.
Now there are some people out there that have gone overboard but we can thank them for paying the server bill for half a year (Yes I am talking about the guy that has something like 25 pieces of donator gear on a single character. Thanks for supporting the server!)

The custom items are not vendor sold. There is some starting gear on the vendors you can get, but good things have to be earned.

Can you help explain solo content? Meaning you have an end game content that is on a tier level... Solo (Tier 1), Group (Tier 2), Raid (Tier 3)?

Thanks in advance

Thanks a lot Secrets, you rock! :)

Wzang, you can solo on THF (with a bot) pretty much up to lvl 70, then you have the option to obtain raid level gear via ldon adventures. If you want to find out more, you are welcome to check out our forums. Lots of guides are available there along with a friendly community to answer all your questions.

Hey there ! Greetings from the newest GM/Developer on THF :) As an update, I just wanted to add in there that we now have the following content added to the server:

Old school bosses brought back to life ! Fippy Darkpaw has risen in power and now sports some powerful loot, as do his buddies all across Norrath and the plains. Multiple tiers of difficulty on these new world bosses offers extended difficulties of content, as well as adding onto the current difficulties.

The other item we now offer that Ive brought with me to the team are GM events of literally *massive* proportions. The following picture was snuck by some insane photographer. I hope he made it out alive !

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y274/Pyronost/Event1.png

Well over one *hundred* players participated in this event, and they can't wait for the next one :)

Well, thats it for now ! More to come soon as development picks up speed :)

I feel sad for not playing on this when it first came out now. Think I will have to make up a character to see what it is all about. If Zhak says it is good, it has to be. He may have an ego, but the guy knows his PvE! :)

Only choice to make now: mage or paladin to start...

Make a Mage and a Paladin as Bot ;)

You can gear up both, the Mage has a nice DS on his 1.0 on our server. (never liked the idea of having a lev50 pet eat up noob zones). Also much better pets (to match custom melee weapons). 1.5 and 2.0 even have new custom visuals (scroll up ;))

Today we are excited to celebrate our 1st anniversary.

Alot has happened during the last year. We invite you to celebrate this with us and offer a week of double XP (and AXP). Level 70's or people who gain this level during the week get some extra gift in our Hubzone. 3 Special Mobs Vlad, Vlar and Vlan (well known to the senior players of THF ;)) are around this week to offer some extra challenge for the seasoned raiders.

Come check the full details and an interesting read of statistics at our forum, found at www.thehiddenforest.org

I want to give a shout out to the dev's of this server, who have done an amazing job keeping things fun and engaging, while also providing a great amount of player/server interaction.

Anyways the purpose of this post is two-fold. One to bring more attention to this amazing server, i have to say after 8 years of playing and working on Emu's this is the best one I have found yet (lol i cant believe my join date for this forum is 2002 ><). The server offers a great custom Raid progression that is both challenging as well as fun. They are constantly creating new content for the server, and are currently developing two new raid zones, Veeshan's peak (customized of course!) and Dreadspire (with custom scripts that look amazing so far) Both of which are due out very soon! And will provide new Tier 6, 7 and 8 content for the server.

That said the second part of this post is a recruitment post for my guild. Many guilds on this server rely on multi-boxing to get anything done, partially because they feel they HAVE too, and also because some find it fun. <Mofish> is setting a new standard, we have decided that we are sick of boxing - weather it was 6 boxing on this server, boxing in live or boxing in any other game. We don't allow boxing on raids, we have progressed so far through the first 2 tiers of Raid content (Ssraezzah and ToV) with nothing but mains and are currently plowing our way through Sleepers tomb (Tier 3) having keyed up the majority of our guild now. We are currently looking to recruit people who want to have a blast with a real social guild. when you do /who all Mofish, we are all there, no boxes.

**We do allow boxing for people who wish to level alts or just have fun when not raiding. but we ask to keep it to 1 box at most, and raiding will always remain offlimits to boxing (we keep an updated set of rules in our sub-forums so either join and check it out, or ask one of the officers to clarify if your unsure what we mean)***

Currently we are looking to recruit anyone and everyone who wants to come to play this amazing server! If you are sick of boxing and want an amazing social atmosphere send me an PM here or jump over to: http://thehiddenforrest.org and PM me there (Brontu). Our current play times are all over the map (this is good) we are truly an international guild, with players from the USA West coast all the way to Taiwan and all over in between. Please consider playing this amazing server! There are also many other amazing guilds and people on this server, so if we dont fit the bill for what you are looking for, im sure theres a perfect fit for you!

We do raid primarily during European peak hours (early-mid afternoons US East) -but we do have a very active US roster who gets things done.

The server is not a no - boxing server btw, so even if u dont want to join us in Mofish, there are ample boxing opportunities and guilds on the server for any play style and play time.

Please contact the following in game/through the forums of you are interested!

Bront - Officer - (Brontu on THF forums) Contact me during USA play times (i also work graveyard so im on all night)
Jyonn - Officer - (Kuldiin on THF forums) Contact Jyonn for European play times - hes on when I'm sleeping sometimes

Thanks for your consideration, and please we definately want/need more people to come play this amazing server!

*** Edit ***

THF also offers a great - unique, and fully customized solo progression line. Alternate Progression is a great way to solo progress through specially designed content - with great custom rewards and drops. new zones are in the work with Alt-P as well, Adding Stonebrunt Mountains to the mix.

For new content in the leveling area as well, unrest is currently in the works for those Undead slayers out there, in the 1-30 level range.

Check it out! Daily updates and fixes insures that things are always running smoothly!

Alot has happened over at THF.

2 new Raid zones have been released
long awaited Alt-Progression update was finally released
One new newbie zone has been released
new Tier7 Raidzone is about to be released starting next week

The 2 new Raidzones are tier 2 (ToV Level) and Tier 6 (PoFear Level). The Tier 2 zone is a complete revamp of StillmoonA. Complete set of new Items can be gained here, fun fights and lots of old and new faces to see here.

Veeshan's Peak is the new Tier 6 Raid zone with a complete new Zone design, interesting scripts and a Keyquest that everyone loves to hate ;) (It's not that bad as on Live!) Custom quests and the best Armor in Game can be gotten here. Come and proof your skill in this zone only for the bravest adventurer.

Chaosslayer did it and finally released 2 new zones for the Alt-Progression, finally raising the bar again in this long awaited continuation of this unique style of play. It's completely new and offers custom and well designed quests, monsters and missions. It's so well designed and balanced, it took him more than half a year to finish. A must see!

Unrest is the new newbie zone, adding up to a total of 3 newbie zones now on THF. Unrest is a new approach, keeping the player up to lev30 busy with quests and tasks inside Unrest, introducing new Enemies and friends.

Finally, Dreadspire is about to be released this coming week. The new Tier 7 Raid zone will provide challenges for the absolute hardcore raiders and should keep you busy for weeks if not months to come. A complete set of new scripts and events will have to be beaten. Even the Trash mobs will require a new set of skills and a different technique to overcome than your usual gank and spank. New and unique Items and Jewelry and an upgrade to the already available Custom Spells (rank 1-3) are available here making each class even more powerful and balanced than they already are. This one looks so promising that im tempted to roll a char myself and sneak into one of our HighEnd guilds to play and overcome the challenges which were created here.

On a final note i want to send a invitation to all EQEmu players to check out The Hidden Forest Server. We have so much to offer for everyone, solo, group, raider, tradeskiller, quester... you name it.

Feedback is always welcome at our forums available at www.thehiddenforest.org

Web based Guild progression chart

A new web based feature will be added (in addition to the LDoN Leaderboard, Achievements, Magelo, Allaclone) - Guild Progression Chart. Now you can compare who killed what mob first and when. Who will be the first to conquer the new Tier?!

Also, please check out our map of custom zones here (http://ljohagan.com/pics/hfmap.jpg)

We have daily updates on THF so we usually only post here if something big happens. I'm glad to announce that Dreadspire is now officially live on THF. This is a custom tier based progression raid zone with 99 unique scripts and 15 quests. It took 4 months for Vaion (the most talented developer I know) to build this zone from the ground.. I've seen quite a lot of Everquest, but this custom zone is simply amazing. Thank you Vaion! ;)

Details: here (http://forum.thehiddenforest.org/portal.php).

With that being said, I am proud to introduce our brand new feature: Player Aura's! They even stay with you as you zone and explore!

After getting some positive feedback from my initial post about this server, i thought i would make an update, and another pitch 8D.

I have now formed a new raiding guild called <Shattered> we are a group of American players who are progressing quickly through content. At this point we are looking for some fresh blood. And would love to see some new players eager to jump into amazing custom raid content.

Our Recruitment thread is located Here (http://forum.thehiddenforest.org/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=4379)

I no longer hold the boxing restrictions that i had in Mofish, but there is also NO requirement to box. We are made up of a group of people who Box an extra toon or two to help us, but we have a large group who dont box at all. Shattered isnt about 3 people boxing content to death, we limit 2 boxes MAX per 1 main toon, again optional boxes, But we retain the social atmosphere that we would have if noone boxed.

We are a very tight knit group of American players, who raid only 3 nights a week progression, we are laid back but get sh*t done when we need too. Currently we are desperately searching for an extra Main Healer or two, and some DPS to help us progression through the 5th and 6th (and eventually the 7th) tiers of raid content. If your intersted Check out my link above for our recruitment post - and check out the link in my sig for the THF's main site.

It is an amazing server with a great development team, who are very close with the community, and are CONSTANTLY listening to player feedback. If you have any questions about the server, the community or <Shattered> please dont hesitate to drop me a PM here, on Brontu on the THF forums, or log in, try it out and shoot me a tell in game on: Bront, Betwo, or Taelen.

Would love to see this server grow like it deserves, and they just bought an amazing set of new hardware for the server.

Thanks for reading!

Good Luck and Good Hunting whatever server you play on 8).

Long story short, I would like to take the opportunity to appologize for the lack of communication and for our web services being temporary down for the last few days. More details about how unlucky we were at our portal. Btw the downtime had nothing to do with the game server.

Just wanted to stop by the emulator forums and give another plug for the server that I've enjoyed playing on over the past 12 months ( kind've crazy I've stuck with one emu server for this long ).

The guild and I have been working on the current end zone in the raid scene for the past two months working with Vaion ( the creator of the zone ) and have been progressing through it enjoying the difficulty of the events and the creativity and strategy required. I raided on live through GoD and I've played on emulator servers for over 5 years, this zone is the best raid experience I've had on emulator, and had me reliving the 'sitting on the edge of my seat' moments that I used to have on live when we thought we were going to beat an encounter for the first time ( rathe event anyone? lol ).

The current high end zone on THF is one that any EQ raiding veteran would enjoy working through with a small raid ( we had 4 real life people each 3-4 boxing, think we were sitting with 16 characters with bots ). We beat two events tonight, but the par for tier 2 of this zone is a 15-20 minute encounter with main mobs, adds, ae's, item clicks at certain spots in the encounter, tank swapping, using warriors on some mobs, knights on other etc. The encounters are extremely interactive, and just enjoyable. I don't think Vaion will ever get the recognition he deserves with the great quality of a raid zone that he produced, but hopefully this is a small step in that direction.

Ended up taking us 7 attempts over a few different nights to finally learn and beat the hatchet event.

I just wanted to let you know how much fun I am having on The Hidden Forest server. This server is the benchmark of how Emulated servers should run. It has great content, active GMs, and most of all a website that is not just a standard bulletin board, but the full blown website; a place to look at zones, items, and achievements. The dedication and attention to detail by the admins far surpass any of the other servers that I have played on, and I have played on them all.
