Hey Guys,
Flame of Chaos is now in Open Beta, some of you have probably seen it show up on the server lists, we've got a pretty solid codebase now and are working on balancing and tweaking things for a solid PVP experience (as well as PVE). Here is a list of features:
Current features:
1. Progression based server, starting with classic zones and progressing through the expansions. (Progression will happen at a rate the developers feel is appropriate. A large factor in determining progression rate will be population. We DO NOT want to have a huge empty world because population is low and we have hundreds of zones available.
2. PVP is enabled in all zones except towns.
3. PVP kills will result in rewarding AA experience (AA experience can only be gained through PVP, and can start being gained at level 1)
4. PVP death will result in a loss in AA experience, and you will lose 1 item. (The person who killed you will get to choose any 1 item to loot.)
5. You can only initiate PVP against people within 9 levels of your level
6. All NO DROP flags are gone from items so any item can be lost in PVP as well as traded within the economy
7. Once you initiate a PVP action, you will be forced into a 5 minute "no zoning" lockout period unless you die, this will prevent people from harassing others and zoning out to safety
8. Group vs Group PVP (If you're in a party you cannot attack members of your own party)
9. Guild vs Guild PVP (You cannot attack members of your own guild)
