Stats: Eqemu 0.3.5 running on Windows XP machine.
First of all, thanks to everyone who supplied advice on my post
http://forums.eqemu.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3160
but I still have all the same errors.
Anyway, aside from being dumped back to desktop (which I now understand is because the current eqemu doesn't support the latest Verant patch), there is still a problem with my eq database sourced from the db.sql supplied in the 0.3.5 distribution.
I'm using EQ Admin 2.71 (the most recent on sourceforge), and on loading it still looks for a table in the eq database called "zone_server" which it can't find. I've followed the readme's to create the database several times over and the problem is always there.
Does anyone have this table in their database?
Any help, or a working database file posted here would be great!

- EQ Admin is not updated for 3.5
- db.sql dosen't include a zone_server table
- EQEmu-0.3.5-Source.zip dosen't have any referances to zone_server in any of the source
- thus table was droped for this release
So, don't use EQ Admin till it is updated for 3.5. and stop worrying about zone_server.

Thanks for the help!
Now all I have to do is solve the minor problem of getting dumped back to the server selection screen with error 1017 every time I try and connect to my own or a public server...
Bah, why is this stuff never straightforward?
I feel your pain, Im running on an XP box and I keep getting the 1017 msg when I try and run a minilogin. I have managed to get around this by going back to the 3.4....but because I just patched on accident, I cant join it or any other servers. Just have to wait and hope the devs pump out the newest fix.
That reminds me...if anyone knows the files that I can copy so that I would be "pre-this recent patch"....PLZ TELL ME! (Though I doubt it is possible)

Thanks for your replies.
I've tried rolling back to version 0.3.4 and with that one I can create a character but I still get kicked back to server selection when I try to enter the world. I don't get the 1017 error though (this is local using Minilogin). This is further than with 0.3.5 where I can't even get to the character selection screen.
Looks like it's best to wait for a new version of the emu to appear.

I had a similar problem, I could see my server in the list but got a 1017 when trying to connect. I tracked it down to the db.sql not having any accounts setup by default (I think it used to have the eqemu account in it) causing World.exe to complain about a bad user/pass in it's debug output.
I added the user manually by typing 'world.exe adduser eqemu eqemu 200' in a dos prompt inside the emu directory and it's been working fine ever since.

Thanks for the tip, Kaiyodo, I tried it and I can now get all the way to character creation, using distribution 0.3.5!
Unfortunately, I get dumped back to server select when I try and enter the world.
Did I mention that I'm trying to run the emu server and the EQ client on the same XP machine? I can only assume there is some form of conflict when trying to run them all together, or just the newly patched client doesn't want to work with the current emu server.

I'm running minilog.exe, world.exe and 5 zone.exe's on the same XP machine (athlon 1800) along with the EQ client and they have no problems. If you've patched to the EQ live version from a couple of days ago then you won't be able to log into the world, you'll have to wait for a new version of the Emu :(

Thanks again for the information, the most recent live patch must be the reason why mine isn't working properly.
Ah well, here's waiting for the next EQEmu and EQ Admin updates!
Perhaps it would be a good idea for the site admin to post an announcement when the current live patch does not work with the current emu? (unless they already do, but if so it's not obvious to anyone new here).
It might reduce the amount of repetitive posts here...
