Help me find a server

I'm new to the community. I've finally reached the point where I now know that a classic experience will never be provided outside of emulation.

What I'm looking for is either a slow progression server that starts with just EQ and slooowly unlocks, or a server with a hard cap of SoL or at worst PoP.

I want to play without PoP for a while at least.

Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

Project 1999 was created to cater this situation. They are trying to replicate the circa 1999 experience, and at this moment it's pre kunark.

There are some others that may fit your bill, such as VZ/TZ (PvP server) is never going past Velious I believe.
