hi all,
ive recently been using EthernalQuest for an emu, but since no one is on their server and it lacks in features, i decided to switch over to EQEmu. i downloaded the eqemu 0.3.6 files and the login 1.02 binaries. i run the world.exe execuatable, then i start up eqwindow and successfully enter my account to the server select screen. i replaced eqhost.txt so all is fine there. i can connect to a server, but when i go to make a character either in the middle of making one or in the middle of "submitting name to server" i get the disconnected message. i know i must be missing a step here although im not sure what. any help would be appreciated, as i am not as emu-knowledgable as i should be (as you can see)

thank you, vert

publiclogin? didn't think that was working/updated for current emu releases. For now run minilogin, or have it public and use the eqemu.net login server.

I understand that public login is not supported. I am looking for one kind soul that knows what is going on to give me an idea I am lacking. I have done everything on all the bits and peices of resource I have been able to find on the subject, however, I am like this last gentleman. when I try to log in to Eqemu server I am disconnected 100% of the time either just after I make a char or as I am zoning into the world, I can not get any further than that. That is one of the reasons that I wanted to create my own public login server so that I could play with friends in my home country while I am away, and not stress the eqemu.net servers any more than they are now. but now I can not get past this message now when I run World, I get the following:

Login Server responded with Fatal Error. Disabling Reconnect.
Error Message: 'Ghost Kick'.

The Login Server produces an error message saying that the 'accountID is not equal to '1' where name='username'.

Please toss me the bit im missing, please ;-)
