Focusing on damage vs delay and raw damage... because in some situations a large damage slow weapon is what you need.

I seeem to recall there was some threshold where if it was very slow, you got some sort of damage bonus as well, but that's a vague and untrustworthy memory now.

I used to rank weapons, all other things being equal, by damage/delay but the stats and procs and such make calculations impossible. However, just thinking for a moment about damage and delay, when would a slow weapon be equal in value to a fast? Would you say the value = (some formula) or is it just a gut thing?

the best way to evaluate a weapon is in term of damage ratio, which is DMG/DLY

so 10 dmg, 20 dly, is ratio 0.5
the higher number the better

the damage bonus is added to MINIMUM dmg done, its about +1 per 4 levels for 1handers.
and for 2handers its based off level and delay - the bigger the delay, the higher the bonus.

however the final number produced by DB is insignificant at ANY level, so you may as well just ignore.

iirc 2 hand dmg bonus isnt calculated 100% correctly on emu. I remember in the past hitting lower then should be possible with certain 2 handed weapons. Hitting for (1) critting for (2) ect..
