Can't get the game running

I did all the steps posted on the website, but when I launched the game for the first time it started to patch, then stopped at one point and gave an error. Now it's loading again and it's asking me to upgrade to the station launch pad or whatever, but the file path is blank and wont let me chose a new one. I think I did something wrong with the desktop icon? Did it accidentally patch to live? I'm not sure what to do.

This is what I have for the target: "C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest\EverQuest.exe" patchme

I'm running windows 7, which is a nice OS, but it's only caused problems so far with eqemu.

this is what you read in the guide
"C:\Program Files\Everquest\eqgame.exe" patchme

and this is what you typed

"C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest\EverQuest.exe" patchme

You need to use eqgame.exe not everquest.exe :-D
