Hey guys im struggling with changing the short cut. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\EverQuest\EverQuest.exe" That is what is is currently. What should i change it to?

change the everquest.exe at the end to eqgame.exe patchme"

i put this in so far "C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\EverQuest\eqgame.exe patchme" Still no luck. I'm on windows 7, fyi.

This should be what you need:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\EverQuest\EverQuest.exe" patchme

Well that part worked lol. Sorry for bugging you guys, but then during updating i got an error. It says error : could not download to file. Please rerun everquest.exe to try again.

Err, wasn't paying close enough attention in the first post...
you need:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\EverQuest\eqgame.exe" patchme
Making a shortcut to everquest.exe causes you to patch files, which means you now need to uninstall EQ, delete the install folder completely, and then reinstall again. Then use the shortcut as I have it above. It needs to point to eqgame.exe, not everquest.exe which is your problem.
