So I've been playing on p1999 which is currently down due to ddos and figured I'd mess around on other servers while waiting. It occurred to me that I replaced zone files to make my installation more classic & compatible with p1999.

I'm guessing I need a version that isn't "classic modified" otherwise I'm going to have some rude surprises when zoning at some point? My thought was just do a 2nd install on another drive that way I can keep my p1999 correct but still have the option to go on the other server during downtime without having to modify stuff.

1st question - is there an easier way or am I on the right path?
2nd question - i put Titanium in to do a second install and it only gives me the options to modify/repair/remove the current installation. If I'm correct on question 1 then I need some help with a solution for question 2.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Yes, you are on the right path. I currently have install folders for EQLive, Titanium, SoF, and SoD and they all work just fine that way. You don't need to install it on another drive, just as long as you install it to a separate folder.

Since you can't get it to install with an existing installation there already, you may be able to just move your P1999 install folder to another place, or just rename it to something like "Everquest99". I always name my different installs after what it is for like that so it is easier to tell which is which. Just remember that you will need to create a new shortcut for the P1999 folder if you move it. And you will want a separate shortcut for the normal Titanium install as well.
