Did you install EQ over an existing installation of EQ that was there already? Even if you uninstalled it and installed Titanium/SoF/SoD, in the same spot, it can still cause problems if you didn't delete the entire folder first. Sounds like you may have some UI in your UI folder that your client doesn't support, or maybe some custom files or just some problem with your install. Did you follow the play guide from the wiki to get started? I don't really know if UI can affect EQ until you get at least to character select, but I am not sure what other XML stuff might cause problems.

Im having the same issue. Installed from titanium, followed all of the steps. When I click on the shortcut it goes black and then back to my desktop screen with this error message:

Error in XML
Error in your GUI XML files. Check UIErrors.txt

When I go to check that log this is what it says:

UIErrorLog created at Wed Jun 02 23:41:03 2010

nevermind, im retarded. When I went to save the game in a specific file I apparently didnt select a specific folder and instead everything loaded into my program files folder. Later when I realized that, I put it all in its own folder except for all of the 'folder' files, including (you guessed it) UIfiles. Hopefully the previous poster did the same.
