Try that forum...everything you need to know to get your server running is there...just make sure you actually look. I know it's easier just to ask, but people get annoyed at the same questions being asked over and over, and most if not all the questions you have are already indexed in the stickies on that forum.

If your talking about just JOINING a server... Download the eqhost.txt file on the misc files page, I beleive. You'll have to copy/paste it over your current eqhost.txt contents, and then of course, log in using your forum account.

And for the server... Download the 3.7 file form the main page, as it should be listed a few news topics down, and then read the manual that comes in there.

It's a tad more complicated than that.

You can't run the regular EverQuest after you replace the eqhost.txt file, or it will replace it with the ones the Everquest Live servers use...you have to bypass the login patch thingy...but there are tools that make this simple.

There are two ways I know of (probably more that exist, but I know of two :) )...

1) Download EQW (EQ Window) and run it, it doesn't run the patch program, so you're all good and dandy there.

2) Open up your DOS prompt and get to the everquest directory (Mine's c:/Program Files/EverQuest - that's the default, dunno where yours is) and type 'eqgame.exe patchme', without the quotes of course.

Again, both of these methods can be found on the EQEmu Win32 Forum (I think that's what it's called...) under the sticky called "Client Installation Guide" or something along those lines.

It's been a while since I've been active in the community, can you tell? :). However, now that things are MUCH more stable, I'm getting back into it :D.
