Hi everyone!

There's a new server in the works. Mythic Lair will be a mostly Live-like server with a good amount of custom content to make the game more enjoyable for everyone. All expansions up to SoD will be enabled.

Since this will be mostly EQ Live-like you can expect a lot of the variables and rules to follow Sony's unless otherwise stated.

Right now it is running the latest server build and PEQ database as of today with little to no customizations yet.

Here's a list of features that will most likely be enabled once the server is past alpha/beta stage.

- Level 1 to 85
- 1x XP, AA rates
- Epics 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5
- Hot Zones
- SoD compatible
- Bots, spawn 2 maximum
- Multi-boxing
- Custom spells
- Custom zones
- Custom NPC's
- Custom quests
- Solo, Group, and Raid content throughout
- and much more...

Known Issues:

- UCS server is very unstable. Chances are it will be down.
- Clients may freeze after pressing Enter World at character select screen. If this happens you need to Ctrl-Alt-Delete and end the eqgame.exe task and try again.

The website has been up for several weeks and is 99% complete. All the EQ tools and links are working, I just need to add some additional content to some of the other areas like the forums and faq's.

The server itself is also up most of the time now unless I need to compile a new build or reset the machine itself. I have not added the server to the public listing yet as it's still in an Alpha stage so the only way to login right now is to visit our website and get the required information there.

The EQ server specs:

- AMD Phenom X4 CPU
- 8GB DDR2 RAM (running 82 static, 10 instanced zones at moment)
- 1TB 7200RPM HD
- 30/10 Mbps Network
- Gigabit Ethernet

Feel free to test out the website and even create a character on the server and play!

looks like it will have some cool features, but I personally get turned off by multiboxing being active, it just makes the community feel hollow, and thats not just your server but any server with it on.

Thanks for the input!

I will most likely change the boxing feature to allow only 1 or 2 boxes at most. It's going to depend on the estimated population of the server and difficulty of the mobs.

Same goes for the bots. I may reduce this down to 1 bot spawned at a time depending on several circumstances.

It's all a work in progress at the moment. :)

2 box's max with a max bot spawn of 1 (or none)

The server is currently set for 5 creatable and 2 spawnable bots while the population is low. I made things a little bit easier and less annoying than Live as well.

Here's a list of some of the currently enabled features:

- SoD enabled
- Level 85 max
- No xp loss on death
- No items lost on death
- Heal on level up
- Slightly more regular, aa, group, and raid xp than Live
- 5 creatable bots, 2 can be spawned
- 2 max clients per IP (2-boxing)
- Increased regen rate while sitting
- Agro radius on all npc's and mobs have been cut in half

Lot's more to come...

Nothing is set in stone yet though. This server is still being developed on a daily basis.

I also added Mythic Lair to the public login server list. Now you have the choice of either logging in through our private login server or the public one.

Defiant armor and weapons are now dropping from most NPC's and mobs throughout the world.

If you're looking for a translocator then try pok near the soul binder in the neutral books area.

Translocator Gwenyth can send you to many different zones. :)
