View Full Version : Using Wine on Ubuntu 10.0.14

I have gone through Cub's thread (http://www.eqemulator.org/forums/showthread.php?t=29992) and started the game through the Terminal (assigning it "taskset -c 0 wine eqgame.exe patchme") and now I'm seeing, or not seeing, invisible models. My avatars have armor, weps and such, but the toon body is gone. I haven't played this week due to traveling, and I saw there was an issue with patch 6.0 and a following reverse, but from the notes this didn't apear to be one of the problems. And since this is the first iteration of me trying to use the wine/Ubuntu combo, I think it's definitely usr error!

This is terribly late but hopefully i can still help you.

I wrote a guide a while ago to get EQEMU running w/ WINE... it should still be relevant:

(Most applicable to you is the vertexshader options and also.... you might have to compile WINE for yourself)

I am about to go through it again and am thinking I might update the guide.
