Good Afternoon!
My name is Chaos, and I'm working on a new server development centered around completing and correcting much of the quest scripts and events which are currently available on the ProjectEQ and other various sites.
My server will follow these basic goals:
* Lv 75 Max Limit (For the moment at least)
* Live like xp and aa progression (Sorry, no x2 or x3 here)
* Complete Revamp of all quests zone by zone to follow these guidelines:
- All NPCs will utilize the plugin::Whisper so spam is limited
- All NPCs will have saylinks to make progression through quest lines easier
- All NPCs will be spell checked for grammer and spelling, as well as puncuation. You wouldn't believe the number of errors I've found already.
- Various quests are slightly rewritten (text only, not process) so that they are easier to understand for all players, and makes more sense.
- All NPCs whom offer quests qill also have "Quest - " In their titles under their names, or various other titles to describe their function more clearly.
- Tasks not currently available will be implimented according to Live with only minor changes, again to make them clearer and easier to understand
- Class/Races which do not have newbie armor will find they will be able to gain such armor now. Perhaps SOE planned on adding such armor, but never got around to it. Vah Shir for example, should have their own class specific newbie armor instead of having to travel to freeport.
- Most named appearances will be changed so they are more common for the casual gamer. Thus, no more waiting around for hours after hours for a single spawn. More like 20 to an hour max.
- NPC Pathing will be set to work as it is on live, or as close as possible.
- Quality Service - I plan on recruiting a handful of individuals to be my GM's with the goal of always having one around when they're needed. No more sleeping on the job.
- Guild Halls will be implimented, and custom script will go into allowing for upgrades, from teleporters to various zones, to Tradeskill equipment and devices, to Tradeskill item merchants and more. Guild halls will require an upkeep and will be permanent instances, to allow for any number of them at a single time.
- Special Armor and Weapons will be implimented which are upgradable tier to tier, and eventually through raid drops and events to allow a more stable armor system. The goal is to make it possible so solo players can run even minor raid zones solo.
There is more planned for the server, and for the moment the server will only be available to those who volunteer to assist in testing out the revamped zones as they are completed.
I will include a post which will outline the quest progression/verification as quests are redone and completed. If anyone finds an error with a quest, I can be contacted in game, as I will always be around so long as the server is up and running. If you are interested in assisting with testing out the quests and such, please let me know by posting here.
All quest scripts for each zone once revamped will be availabe for download for other servers. This will be my contribution to the EQEmu community and can be used freely.
