eqgame.exe problem

Every time I try to start up EQ it says,
"eqgame.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close...blah blah"
I followed the install instructions exactly, looking for any ideas/help as to what i need to do. Thanks!

Sounds like you have some corrupted files somewhere.

Try reinstalling EQ first. If that doesn't work, try a reinstall of DirectX.

Try changing your desktop resolution to something not widescreen, like 1280x1024 or 1600x1200 until you've run it once, then you can change the desktop resolution back.

try going into your eqhost file and set windowed to TRUE.
