Dell Charger is Beeping

Hay everybody...
I have a Dell Vostro 1000 bought 4 years ago... the charger was working properly that morning, I unplugged it and packed the laptop in its case and after one hour and a half I tried to use it, but the green light on the charger didn't work and so is the charger and above that all the charger started to make BEEPING....
If any body faced this problem or have a solution for it (without replacement), please answer me

its gone. Need to buy a new one. charger for my laptop started that beeping and not charging about a month ago. ended up picking up a new one at walmart for 75 bucks with 2 year warranty. nothing you can do with it but replace it..
