Steamfont Quest Folder Rename

While working on my bard's epic 1.0 I discovered the quests folder in the svn is listing steamfont mountains as just "steamfont". The actual zone name is "steamfontmts" so quests from that zone won't work until the folder gets renamed. If someone could update this into the quests svn, that would help out new servers and maybe a few of those out there that are having any issues in that zone.

There are multiple versions of that zone. The original, steamfont, and the revamped one, steamfontmts. Most likely, you can just copy the folder and rename the copy so you have both. Though, the new version won't have any loot or anything unless someone gets around to adding it all manually. So, you wouldn't be able to do quests there anyway.

Well, the quests work just fine from what I can tell since the mobs are there and provided you don't need a drop from the newer zone, but you are correct about the loot/faction tables.

Also, not sure why you moved this to a windows server support section as it has to do with the quests reguardless of file system. Should the quest folders maybe have two different SVN trunks, one for revamped zones and one for originals? It might even be best to just have multiple folders with the quests all in 1 trunk with the multiple zone names (steamfont and steamfontmts in this example) as the quests would at least then be loaded for when/if more work on the zones gets completed. Or is the eqemu never planning on supporting the newer zones?

If the name of the revamped zone is the same then it doens't matter, but i believe all the revamped zones have new short names anyway. So quest should be in the respective folder I would think.

I moved it because you had it in the quest submission section (if I recall correctly), and you are not submitting a quest in this thread. The revamped zones have had little to no work done on them yet as far as I know. Copying the quest folders and naming them with the new shortname of the revamped zone is something that will be done once work on those zones begins. It is a pretty obvious change, so I don't think it requires a post in the quest submission section about it. That stuff is really handled on PEQ, and their team should be aware of this already.

I tend to put generic server-related stuff in the Windows Server Support section. Personally, I think we should have a general Server Support section of the forums and then maybe Windows and Linux platform specific sections for questions that are platform specific like setup and such.
