Ok I thought this was an older bug I remember it from a long time ago but seems like it stopped being an issue at one point on my server but now it is back..

Basically if an event has to many adds that spawn and are killed to fast then the Clients crash.. Which it used to be the Zone would crash :) I like the new way better actually that's way cooler but has there been any steps to resolve the issue itself and if not can anyone suggest a fix for this ? I'm not really sure exactly what causes it to happen.. Perhaps a special attack or attack speed setting on the npc ?

Anyway any tips would be much appreciated

Morty

Fix: Stop making fights with over 10,000 adds man, like Poca! If ye kill her too fast and all the adds come out, /crash hehe

How did I know some one was going to say this, no that is not a fix.. that is your opinion..

None of my fights come anywhere NEAR 10,000 adds anyway maybe 30 or 40 max..

I politely suggest making fights with a little bit more creativity than adds that die right away.

I believe the problem is that when you kill a ton of NPCs at once, there is a TON of info being calculated and sent to the client(s). Once it reaches a certain point, the server will have so much stuff going on that it delays sending a heartbeat/keepalive to the client, which causes the client to think it lost connection to the server. Once the client gets into that mode, it is not likely to recover without at least logging out and back in.

This issue has been discussed multiple times in the past, and no clear solution has been made.

If the client itself crashes, with no error message, it's because they are using titanium.

I haven't found a solution for that specific titanium crash, but if someone has a dbg.txt they can post when it happens i'll look into fixing it.

Ok good that's all I needed to know is what was making them crash I can come up with an easy enough fix for this simply by making the adds depop at 5% instead of dying.. Which should resolve that issue correct?

PS: Is there anything that I can do to help figure this issue out like logs or players logging or anything at all ?? Other than that maybe will just have adds depop like i mentioned before

If you deal damage and take adds down that fast, isn't there still a ton of info being sent? IMO would probably still result in a D/C, or some major lag at least for a bit. IE: When a Warrior charky blasts 20 adds and takes them all down to 5% instantly.
