hey im sorry if i posted this again but i couldnt find my exact problem others are having with my server trying to load, i have just read and completed the Start your own Server guide on eqemu, for windows (Top Link for Windows Servers), after the last step is to make a serverstart.bat file which i did exactly how it says to on the guide and this is what pops up along with a few Command Prompts telling me theres an error... heres the specific error im getting.

"This application has failed to start because perl510.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

I installed Strawberry Perl510 btw because i couldnt find a link to the activstateperl. not sure what to do, very new to making a server for myself

Find the directory where perl510.dll is.
Add that directory to your path.

- or -

Copy perl510.dll to the directory where your server executables are.

is it possible, to just download the dll off the internet? and then use it for it instead of getting one specific one from strawberry?

Depending on how you launch the server, it is not unusual for the eqlaunch window to show an error connecting to world. If you give it a few seconds it will retry and should work.

If not you're going to need to post logs and your config file.

Well i took your advice hoping it would work it self out so i tried to log in and the farest i got was the Server Select screen with no servers on it (looking to have a personally server for myself) and heres the DOS Command Prompt Images. if you can figure it out from that, i got a before it starts to fail and when it shows fail message..

I don't see a window for world.exe. What happens if you run just that without the batch file?

Really, most of the guides say the same thing, but depending on when they were written may reference files that have changed, so the most recent one is probably best to follow without having to guess too much.

So, world not working seems to be your problem. The best thing to do is delete all the logs in your logs folder, run world by itself and then look at the logs it generates for errors or clues to why it isn't working.
